If I had you write down the three most important things in your life, what would they be?

Usually, I see something like this… God, family, health.

I see people everyday who’ve neglected their health and it has a major impact on their family.

It also seems like a good idea to impart some form of stewardship on the amazing ‘machine’ that God gave us to live in… our human body. Exercise and nutrition are two things that could be looked at as stewardship.

What usually keeps us from being true to ourselves and attending to the most important parts of our lives is…..time.

A question I ask myself when my life is out of balance is…

“How much attention, time and focus am I placing on the things that I claim to be the most important aspects of my life?”

It’s easy to fool ourselves, huh? Since family and God are a bit personal, let’s talk health. In particular, exercise.

I’m sure I’m not alone in admitting that my plate ‘over-runneth.’ Today’s stressful lifestyles dictate the need for a time-efficient, high return, fitness solution. But when do you find the time? That’s the million dollar question…or the token excuse.

At first, you probably won’t believe what I’m about to tell you. That’s okay, come back when you’re ready to exercise just 12 minutes a week and get great results.

12 minutes a week can help you lose fat, increase metabolism, raise energy levels, improve cardiovascular function by decreasing unhealthy cholesterol levels, all the while maximizing your anti-aging hormones and reducing your stress levels-giving you more time to what you deem to be important in life.

More and more research says that exercising less, yet more intensely, is key. And this approach may just be the best exercise for weight loss.

The truth is, the mainstream general public, as well as many fitness industry professionals, are just not up to date on this research. Unfortunately, though well-intended, the aerobics craze of the Richard Simmons and Jane Fonda days may have set us back quite a bit.

Some of the most intriguing and accurate sports medicine and exercise physiology research points to the fact that it’s intensity, not duration, that affects the body’s adaptation to exercise (i.e. weight loss, body composition enhancement, anti-aging.)

I’m not saying that 12 minutes a week of lolly-gagging is sufficient and neither is the research. I’m talking high intensity, like as hard as you can go, in short bursts of anywhere from 20 to 60 seconds, depending on your level of fitness.

You start where YOU are.

For example, if I can do 30 jumping jacks with my ‘all-out’ effort in 20 seconds and you can only do 10, we’re both at our ‘all-out’ effort. We both get the same benefit.

Take a real good look at these athletes.

Who’s in better physical condition, form, well-being, and health?

We, as humans, were built to go ‘all-out’ in bursts.

Just twelve minutes per week of this type of exercise can be a faster, safer and more effective way to lose weight and create a leaner, healthier version of you.

I recommend a machine called the X-iser® to my weight loss patients, to perform this type of exercise.

Roger and I have a philosophy called, “Exercise to The H.I.L.T.”

(High-Intensity, Limited-Time).

The X-iser® Machine provides most everyone the ability to “Exercise to the ‘H.I.L.T.” in a non-impact fashion.

Whether your goal is weight loss, stress reduction, cardiovascular health, reducing body fat or just wanting to look and feel your best…exercise can literally be a ‘wonder-drug.’

But only if you can find the time to actually perform it!

Exercising to the H.I.LT. was made for getting in shape fast and losing the most weight in the most efficient manner…plain and simple…and scientifically proven. I like to call it ‘a double shot’ of reduction allowing you to reduce your weight and reduce your stress.

In the meantime, invest in yourself and get the X-iser®. I recommend it because it can be used at nearly any age and fitness level and because it responds to your unique effort and capabilities. I also like that it can help someone who has never exercised before or help train an elite athlete.

Do you have 12 minutes per week to allocate toward something that you believe is one of the most important things in your life?
