Stop Food Cravings By Filling Up Before You Fill

Food cravings are the enemy of your ideal weight. Research at Penn State University showed that if you eat a salad before a meal, you will eat less at that meal. On the other hand, if you eat things like bread before a meal, you will usually eat more.
- Eating a salad before a meal accomplishes a few important things if you are trying to lose weight.
- A salad consists of the primary foods you should be eating anyway. Romaine lettuce and spinach are two fat fighting ‘superfoods‘ when it comes to an anti-inflammatory and fat fighting diet. These two vegetables should be the foundation of the majority of your salads. The fiber and nutrients do you a world of good and it helps create a sense of fullness so as to not pack on extra unwanted calories.
This is one effective way to stop food cravings and ambush the tendency to overeat. Eat a salad before your dinner. Better yet, get creative and have the whole salad be your dinner. It would also serve most people well if dinner was their smallest meal, unfortunately it’s usually the largest.
