Great points Dr. Ron! So many people try to cut back on protein and eat only salads for meals. Many do not realize how satiating protein is when served with generous amounts of fresh, fibrous vegetables, seasoned with healthy fats and oils and herbs and spices!
You are so right about fruit as well. It can make a filling, satisfying, and guilt-free dessert.

The Victory Journal, which I've also heard called a "Brag List," is a great thing for friends to share w/each other on a daily or weekly basis by email, if they buddy up to support each other in achieving a variety of goals!

Most of these carvings STEMS from a faulty metabolism that cries out for carbs - the most unnatural food group there is and the most plentiful, see any supermarket. A Low carb diet like Atkins or South Beath has a two week induction period that helps solve many of the carb carvings. You can't end carvings but feeding it- talk to any alcoholic and ask how that works for them.
