Is Colon Cleansing Safe?
Posted on 11. Mar, 2009 by Core Health Expert in Cleansing For Weight Loss
Many people worry about colon cleansing because they have heard that diarrhea can cause loss of water and electrolytes, which of course can lead to dehydration and death. This is understandable but not true because colon cleansing is not meant to cause diarrhea.
Our intestinal tract should be used as a processing plant for the food we eat, not as a storage bin. “Some food in … some food out” is the motto of someone with healthy colon function. However, think about it. If you ate three meals yesterday, were three meals eliminated? If not, what happened to the fecal matter? Most likely, it’s still sitting in the processing plant, but the problem is that the longer it sits there, the more toxic the matter becomes.
And if you add in the factor of not drinking enough water, now that toxic matter gets hard in the colon and sometimes ‘stuck’. The purpose of a colon cleanser is to gently stimulate the colon to release its contents, thereby decreasing your body’s overall toxicity level. When you think about it, colon cleansing is safe; living with a toxic colon is unsafe!
In fact, it is possible to die from a toxic colon. The medical condition is called autointoxication and the person literally dies because their body accumulated too much waste matter.
Colon cleansers are generally safe. In the initial days of using them, it’s possible to have a little diarrhea as the body is clearing itself of the toxic fecal matter. This should stop within a few days. You’ll be amazed at how great you feel when all that old matter is gone, and surprised about how easy it is to eat healthy foods afterward. It’s as if all the toxins in the old fecal matter prevented you from eating junk food. Try a good colon cleanse and evaluate its health benefits today!

Hey Dr Ron,
Are there any particular cleanses that you recommend? Are there “home remedies” that would efficiently serve the purpose?
Cheers,
Adam

Coach Steer-
We have a years worth of study into our product and it’s made at an FDA inspected and approved facility that is also GMP (good manufacturing Practices) certified.
I’ve read frequently that some people do not ‘endorse’ cleansing products because you can do it at home and ‘they’ are only trying to rip you off.
I have some different feelings. The science, time and ingredient selection is not only costly but was well thought out by top scientists, herbalists and formulators and we know it makes a statement for us as a company.
Lets break this down in just one quick ‘microcosm’ and I’ll take just one of our 23 ingredients in our Night Time Cleansing Formula, Aloe vera, and discuss why this is a tad bit better than a home remedy.
I’ll ramble a bit here but this point can be made about 23 times from the same stance. So here goes….
The 200x gel we use is the “Gold Standard” in Aloe Vera products on the market. The more we discover about natural herbs and foods, the more we realize that every constituent the herb or food contains is there for a reason.
If you know the science, you can’ leverage’ nature, which is the ultimate authority, right?
Many of the reasons for including a certain botanical or ingredient involves preventing health problems or supporting the body’s different organs in their functions.
I’ll use Aloe vera in this example. The plant contains anthraquinones that work directly on the intestinal tract, causing the body to eliminate waste matter easily.
But that’s not the only important constituent found in aloe vera. The plant contains four polysaccharide chain sizes, and each one has been researched, and found to benefit different functions of the the body.
Those four polysaccharide chain sizes are small, medium, large and very large. The chains are measured in Daltons, which is a unit of mass equal to about 1/12th the mass of carbon 12 isotope.
Small polysaccharide chains are under 50,000 Daltons. Research studies show that they are helpful in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, assisting in reducing blood sugar levels. But that’s not all. They also are linked to reducing arthritis symptoms, colitis and inflammation.
Medium polysaccharide chains are 50,000 to 150,000 Daltons. These potent chains act as antioxidants and all the same functions as the small polysaccharide chains.
Large polysaccharide chains are 150,000 to 1,000,000 Daltons. Besides having the properties of the previous polysaccharide chains, the large chains have antibacterial properties and assist in healing.
But the most beneficial of all the polysaccharide chains are the very large polysaccharide chains. These exhibit all the previous benefits plus support the immune system, improving its function.
So what is what is Aloe Vera 200x and what do we use it and why you can’t ‘make’ it at home?
With processing of the aloe vera plant, the percentage of very large polysaccharide chains is usually only 28% in fresh whole fillet aloe. Not surprising, aloe suppliers don’t guarantee that their product will contain the large and very large chains. In fact, a lot of them use the ground-up plant and then tout the overall benefits of aloe, none of which the consumer would actually get by ingesting that, often toxic, part of the plant.
So back to the fresh whole filet aloe…with new developments in food processing, it’s possible to increase that number to 100%, increasing the full spectrum of benefits offered by the aloe vera plant.
When this type of processing is done, the aloe vera is called Aloe 200x. It’s made from the pure inner leaf and fillet. It’s the gold standard for the Aloe Vera industry because it’s guaranteed to contain the full spectrum of polysaccharides and deliver all the benefits.
Aloe vera 200x powder means that you can mix 1 ounce of powder with 200 ounces (6.25 gallons), you will have the same concentration as aloe vera juice. That’s because aloe vera juice is 99.99% water.
The final product we are bringing to market dissolves easily and blends well with our other herbs, fibers and pre-biotics.
Whenever a product contains this type of aloe vera, you can bet there is forethouhgt, added expense and excellence in mind. The reason we did it is partly because it’s the right thing to do.
Most companies aren’t willing to go the extra mile. (Which is the common denominator for success in life that separates the elite from the average.) And I know you know and live that philosophy, Adam.
So in closing, yes you can concoct a cleanse at home, but will you tap into the ‘nectar’ that God has provided us here in this awesome world?
Maybe it’s just me but I look at the world as Eden still, you just need to know where to go to
)
Respectfully,

Just wondering what your thoughts were about the “Master Cleanse”. I’ve been doing it once or twice a year for the past few years and I really do like the feeling of “being empty” that it provides and the increased consciousness that I bring to what I eat when I complete it. I know that some say that it’s not healthy, but I read mixed reports on this.
Thanks,
