Do everything you can to establish a habit of respecting yourself, your goals, your life and this wonderful world we live in by creating a morning routine.

Try this, I dare you.

Do everything you can to establish a habit of respecting yourself, your goals, your life and this wonderful world we live in by creating a morning routine.

Meaning…

Have a routine that causes you, or forces you, to get your mind set on things that are important and inspiring to you.

I hear you already, “I barley have time to get out of the door as it is!’

I have a 1 year old and a three year old. A practice that sees 200 patients per week and am the Chief Information Officer of CleanseToThinTM, which takes up another 30 hours per week.

If you don’t take the time to set your day in motion, you will have to navigate back on course as your day starts to push you around.

My morning…

Wake up, push the dog off me, wander into the basement, walk outside and feel the cold air. As I did I looked up to the foothills across the street and saw about 25 deer scampering up the hill. I view this as a ‘reward’ for taking the proper steps.

Walk up stairs, take my CleanseToThin Daytime Formula. Peek at my little boys and wife and say a quick prayer of thanks.

Back to the basement, lounge across the exercise ball and just start moving and stretching. Now, feeling awake, put in an exercise DVD and get the blood flowing. 15 minutes, thats all but I really ramped it up so I was putting about 90% effort into it… breathing pretty hard.

Sit on the floor, catch my breath and just quiet my mind. If you want to call this meditation, great. If that scares you then just breathe and quiet your mind. Think of all the things you have to be thankful for.

After that, I got my goal sheet out and read each goal one-by one, several times. Then I thought about what I wanted my day to be like.

I visualized each time segment with a smile on my face until I saw myself coming home to two little boys running across the room singing, “Daddy, Daddy.”

Went upstairs made some poached eggs, oatmeal, blueberries, took my vitamins and with a big smile on my face went on my way.

Try it and see what happens. Your life becomes more predictable and blessed.
